Board Position: Ordinary Member.
Mary-Jean completed High School in 2005, and went on to study a Bachelor of Laws via distance education in 2007. Mary-Jean has worked full time in the legal industry since 2009, opening her very own law practice Ardent Lawyers in 2018. Mary-Jean is a passionate litigator and enjoys fighting for those who have been wronged, particularly when working for injured clients to obtain compensation when their injuries have been caused by the fault of someone else.
Mary-Jean’s passion for helping injured clients became stronger when in 2015 her brother was rendered quadriplegic as a result of his doctor’s failure to diagnose a serious condition with his cervical spine. Mary-Jean now works harder than ever to ensure justice can be achieved for people who have been injured through no fault of their own.
Mary-Jean’s passion to help people, including those with a disability, is now more important than ever since her brother’s diagnosis in 2015. Mary-Jean knows first hand how difficult these injuries and disabilities can be, particularly as a loved one who has to watch the suffering and is not able to cure the pain and suffering in any way. Mary-Jean has joined the board of directors to put her legal skills and passion in helping others to good use in every way she can.
My passion aligns with the core values of Interchange Shoalhaven, and in particular with Reliability, as I am committed to helping our clients and our staff to live the best life they can. I am extremely proud and honoured to be a part of Interchange Shoalhaven.
